چکیده:

HDS (Hydrodesulfurization reaction) is a catalytic chemical process widely used to remove sulfur from natural gas and refined petroleum products. The purpose of removing the sulfur is to reduce the sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions that result from using those fuels in different systems. Another important reason is that sulfur, even in extremely low concentrations, poisons the novel metal catalysts (platinum and rhenium) in the catalytic reforming units that are subsequently used to upgrade the octane rating of the naphtha streams.In this research, WO3 particles with a well-defined monoclinic crystalline structure were loaded in SBA-15. A Ni component was introduced into the WO3/SBA-15 composite by impregnation from an aqueous solution of Nickel nitrate.The activity of the prepared catalyst will be 1.4 times higher than that of a commercial Co-Mo/Al2O3 [1]. Therefore this catalyst will be useful for deep hydrotreatment of petroleum feedstock.
