چکیده:

Different types of carbon nanotubes were produced by CVD Method with catalysts contains Cobalt and molybdenum on nanoporous magnesium oxide support .The catalysts where prepared by sol-gel method. Single-walled and multi walled Carbon nanotubes grown in this catalyst using a rotary reactor and Natural gas (or methane) was used as carbon sources. TEM, SEM, XRD, TGA and Raman Spectroscopy techniques were utilized to characterize the product and the results shows that Up to 180 wt % yield of high quality, SWNTs with inner wall diameter distributionclose to1.0-1.2 nm are obtained. Also in the case of multi walled carbon nanotubes the yield of product was 300% and the diameter was less than 10 nm. The result of present study shows that this is an economical method for mass production of single walled and multi walled carbon anotubes.
