The failure of soil and geoteechnicalstructuRES during earthquakes has attracted the curiosity of researchers and geotechnical engineersfor years thus prdiction of bearing capacity of footing subjected to seismic loading is of great importance the present paper proposes a simple procedure to computer seismic bearing capacity factors for strip footing overlaying cohesive frictional soil by using pseudo dynamic approach in conjunction with limit equilibrium method the obtained results indicate that the values of seismic bearing capacity factors decrease significantly with increase in both horizontal and vertical weismic coefficients.
