چکیده:

Oxidation and carburization resistance of chromium and heat resistant steels is due to the formation of Cr2DJ on the su.rfilce. This su.rfilce layer will be destabilized above 10000C and will not protect the metal. Recent investigations show that ab,minizing process increases oxidation resistance of these steels by the formation of Ah<n which is
more stable than Cr2DJ at high temperatures. In this investigation aluminizing process is done on austenitic heat resistant stainless steel HID09. ~ the carburization process at 900"C and 11000C was carried on coated and uncoated samples. The microstructure of the samples was then examined by SEM and EDS and. phases were identified by
