چکیده:

We used two types of Quasi- Cavity equipped on both sides with mirrors that have a transparent hole at their centers for a backreflection regenerative pumping a thin – disk solid state laser. Main problem of this system is thermal effects of the quasi-cavity in high power thin disk laser. We investigated thermo optical and thermo mechanical properties of quasi-cavity by using numerical Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method. We compared thermo-optical behaviours such as temperature, stress- and displacement- components in quasi-cavities with circular and square cross section. Temperature, displacement distribution and variation of refractive index of circular Quasi-Cavity in different pump powers have been calculated for several materials. We recommend a combination of diamond / YAG crystal in making Quasi-Cavity for better performance in high power endpumped thin – disk laser
