چکیده:

Emulsion liquid membrane process is used promisingly for separation of aniline as a hazardous chemical compound in industrial wastewaters. A new surfactant is synthesized and used successfully for manufacturing of liquid membrane while the commercial surfactant of Span 80 has a poor performance. The effect of parameters such as surfactant concentration in organic phase, acid concentration and its type in internal phase, electrolyte concentration in both phases, and aniline concentration in the feed phase are studied. It is shown that up to 99.4% of aniline can be removed from an aqueous feed in a two successive stages.
