چکیده:

Residual stress evaluation is an important step for improving the performance of the materials. Industry has been searching for ways to measure residual stresses accurately, quickly and easily. Residual stresses are more difficult to diagnose than work stresses; therefore it is important to have reliable methods for the measurement of these stresses. The main objective of this research was to determine the residual macroscopic stress in metallic parts by using Acoustic Emission. Also, for comparison purpose, a new method which is semi-destructive is presented and by discussed in determining residual stresses in the metallic parts and finding are compared by utilizing MatLab software.
