چکیده:

This paper attempts to investigate the effects of different components of near-fault ground motions on the response of soil-structure systems. The structure and soil are simulated as a nonlinear SDOF oscillator and a semi-infinite cone. The results show that high-frequency effects are more significant for short-period structures. As structural ductility increases, pulse component effects increase. Moreover, increasing pulse period causes domination of high-frequency component. Additionally, SSI effects lead to domination of pulse component and slenderizing the super-structure mitigates the high-frequency effects
