چکیده:

I- and S-type granites can be classified according to several criteria including field evidence, mineralogical properties, chemical composition, restite separation andisotopic characteristics. Among these, the chemical composition usually overlaps for both types because of differences in source rock composition, the degree offractionation and the mechanism of production/evolution. Consequently, identification of granites may face essential difficulties. In this case, trace elements,associated ore deposits, mafic silicates (e.g. amphibole and biotite) and accessory phases particularly apatite, titanite, Al-rich minerals, zircon and opaque minerals are favored to distinct the I- and S-type granites
