In this paper we will examine the benefits and challenges of RFID implementation in the supply chain. We will contend that RFID can have tangible benefits for all parts of a supply chain beginning from supplier ending to the retailer. For each part of the supply chain we will explain the specific benefits for that part comprehensively and also bring some real business cases which have reaped those benefits in real world. In the final part we will examine what organizations need to prepare and plan for before implementing RFID and the challenges they may face during the implementation process.
