چکیده:

On the basis of SPT results from several site explorations and the implementation of known methods of liquefaction and associated surface damage, probabilistic relationship between various levels of earthquake magnitude and liquefaction occurrence has been investigated. The seismic hazard curves are also determined for the city of Tehran corresponding to different earthquake magnitudes, return periods and focal distances. In this respect, the variation of liquefaction potential with different seismic parameters is calculated as well. As a result, the possibility for increase of liquefaction potential from a certain limiting value has been calculated. The proposed method is general and can be used in other
cases.
