چکیده:

Objective: The experiments were carried out to determine of effects of aeration and adding clinoptilolite zeolite on the reduction of TAN concentration in the fish culture.
Method and Materials: The time of experiments were 48 hours. Air stone was used as a aerator. In the constant condition of 4mg/l of TAN in this experiment.3g/l clinoptilolite zeolite added to water including 0.125 – ۲۰mm diameter (use as granule, powder and particle).
Results and Conclusion: The results showed that there was no significant difference in reduction of total ammonia concentration by using aeration groups after 48 hours to control. There was significant difference by using zeolite group alone and aeration + zeolite groups. So, there was remarkable significant difference in zeolite powder + aeration group. The result revealed that, absorb ammonia depends on zeolite particle size. When that particle size increases, the rate of absorbance of ammonia increases too.
