چکیده:

Widespread geophysical and geological studies have been conducted to explore traps relevant to salt bodies in the Persian Gulf as plenty of salt related structures are discovered in Strait of Hormuz. Therefore, exploration activities in this area are mainly focused on revealing geometry of different types of salt related structures, as sub-circular salt bodies are most prominent structural features. This article describes a possible scenario for growth of the salt bodies in Strait of Hormuz based on 3D-seismic interpretation.
