چکیده:

As for the reservoirs, in the past there were some enclosed coastal basins which became almost unused due to sedimentation within them. The annual high cost of removal and disposal of sediment particles deposited in harbours requires that the natural siltation process within such basins has to be considered more carefully in planning of the basins. A numerical model based on the governing equations and finite difference method has been developed for prediction of flow and siltation process within Shahid Rajaee harbour. For this purpose, the flow field within such basin should be determined at the first stage. This has been done by using the simple and more sophisticated turbulence models [1,2]. However, in the current paper details of the numerical model prediction of siltation process within Shahid Rajaee harbour will be discussed.
