The fuel cell is an environmental-friendly power source due to its high efficiency and cleanness. Considering safety and tractability, methanol reformer is a good candidate for the supply of hydrogen for fuel cell vehicles. In this article, hydrogen production from methanol reforming has been considered. Chemical kinetics of methanol reforming reactions and conservation laws are used to model the reactor behavior. Static and dynamic simulations of fixed bed methanol reforming reactor are performed and temperature control of the reactor is discussed.
