چکیده:

The first study on the high efficiency of modified nano-structured γ alumina as a new sorbent solid-phase extraction (SPE) has been reported. The size of the Al2O3 particles was in the range of 43 nm. By using a sodium dodecyl sulphate-pan coated γ nanometer-sized alumina, a new method of preconcentration coupled to graphite furnace-atomic absorption spectrometry (GF-AAS) was developed for simultaneous determination of trace metals Cd and Pb in real samples. The effects of pH, elution, amount of sorbent and interfering ions on the recovery of the analytes have been investigated. Under the optimized operating conditions, the adsorption capacity of the modified nano alumina for Cd and Pb were studied. With 2 min preconcentration time and 24 s elution time, the enrichment factor was 160. The detection limits of this method for Cd and Pb were 0.0002 and 0.0004-μg l−۱, while the R.S.D.s were 1.2 and 0.95 % (n = 7) respectively. The proposed method has been applied to the determination of these trace metals in certified reference materials and real samples with satisfactory results
