چکیده:

This paper reports on a simple sol–gel technique for fabricating pure nanostructure hydroxyapatite powders and coatings. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were used to evaluate the product properties. The in vitro test was performed in a stimulated body fluid (SBF) medium. It was found that at calcination temperatures of 600ºC, the dominant phase of the powders and coatings were HA. TEM showed that the obtained powder after calcination at 600 ºC is composed of hydroxyapatite nano particles (20–۳۰ nm). Hydroxyapatite nanopowders ionic dissolution rate was found to be quite higher than conventional hydroxyapatite and closer to biological apatite owing to its nanostructure dimensions
