چکیده:

The SH- waves, which is the transverse component of accelerograms, is modeled in terms of Brune omega square model to estimate the source parameters of the foreshock, mainshock and aftershock for the 2006 Darb-e-Astane earthquake. Based on the analysis of SH- waves the strike, dip and rake of foreshock are estimated as 307o, 70o, -166o, respectively. These values for main shock are 314o, 68o, – 170o and for aftershock are 309o, 67o, -168o, respectively. The causative fault for the 2006 Darb-e-Astane earthquake shows similar mechanism to the 1958 and 1963 earthquakes. The causative fault for this earthquake is identified as the Dorud segment of the MRF.
