چکیده:

Quantum spin transport through a C60 molecule connected to ferromagnetic electrodes is investigated by computing the transmission coefficient via the Green’s function technique and relating it to the conductance via the Landauer-Büttiker formula. We have studied the behaviour of magnetoresistance, which is defined as the percentage change of electric current between parallel and antiparallel configurations of ferromagnetic electrodes. The results show that the magnetoresistance depends on the applied voltage and the number of contact points of electrodes to the molecule. It is shown that the magnetoresistance ratios more than 60% are obtained which indicate that the C60 molecule can be applicable in spin electronic devices
