چکیده:

Seawalls are commonly constructed to prevent landward erosion of the shpreline and to maintain the configuration of the area behind them against wave action. Although, there are advanced methods in the literature regarding design of seawalls, the behavior of a scawall due to different load conditions and stability analysis of such structure, still suffer from the lack of apporopriate models and measured data. Recently, rising of sea level particularly in northern coastline of the country, has caused special attention to the design and construction of scawalls.
One of the important factors in design of seawalls and stability control of such structures is their safcty factor against overturning.
In the present work, by considering all effective parameters on the stability of seawalls. direct equations are peresent for calculation of the safety factor aganst overturning. The equalions are presented in such a way that designers can easily use them. further more, different design curves are also obtained by sensitivity analysis of seawalls stability. The results obtained from the present work can be easily implemented and used design purposes when the time of calculation is crucial. Also, using the presented equations can be of great help to optimal design of seawalls against load conditions.
