چکیده:

The bootstrap Variable Inductance ( BVI ) is a new FACTS controller that emulates variable positive/negative inductance. Here , its stability response is investigated in both shut and series case , an IEEE benchmark is used. The BVI is shown to be inherentlyStable , and improves the power system Stability in comparison with conventional capacitive compensation. Moreover, the risk of sub-synchronous resonance can be avoided.
