The problems of a power system stability limits and steady state stability criteria estimation are a very important part of a power system control. According to the growing demands of the required time and quality of control, the computational algorithms should be very fast and reliable. It is also necessary to develop a general, more formalized approach to solve these kinds of problems. This paper contains a brief review of investigations in this field and a results of stohastic research of the power system steady state stability limits estimation.
