چکیده:

The analysis of low frequency electromechanical oscillations is of special concern in sparse or weak power systems. Evaluation of damping and frequency of these oscillations reveals the dynamic behaviour of the generators and the participation of several machines and their controllers. This paper concerns with damping evaluation of electromechanical oscillations of the Khorasan Electric Power System. The generalcharacteristics of the Khorasan Electric Power System are emphasised and a number of studies regarding the nature and sources of electromechanical oscillations are discussed.
