چکیده:

Biofiltration is known as an economic process for treating polluted air emitted from many industries. In this research, performance of one special type of white-rot fungus, Phanerochaete chrysosporium, on a sterilized compost with lava as an organic bed was studied. The flow rate of inlet air was set at 0.4, 1, 1.6 lit/min. The maximum elimination capacity was 5.2 g/m 3 h on the twenty-fifth day. The removal efficiency reached above 80% after a fifty-day period with daily shut down.
