چکیده:

Field studies, XRD, SEM and thin section data of some outcrops in Javaher-Dasht, Shabkhoslat,
Boloor-Dokan and Manjil areas of Guilan province show vein and amygdale zeolite occurences in volcanic
host rocks. The rocks of Javaher-Dasht, Shabkhoslat and Boloor-Dokan are of Cretaceous age, while that of
Manjil area is of Eocene age. The rocks at Javaher-Dasht are of basalt and andesi-basalt types; at
Shabkhoslat and Boloor-Dokan, of basalt, andesitic basalt and basaltic pillow lava types and at Manjil of
andesite type. The zeolites found in these regions are natrolite, tetranatrolite, analcime and stilbite in
amygdales and veins. Formation of zeolites, in Manjil, based on the evidences found in these regions, are
probably hydrothermal. At the other study regions, the zeolite facies, based on the mineral assemblages is
hydrothermal metamorphism.
