چکیده:

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine parasitic infection in digestion system of common carp, inhabiting in Zayandehrood Lake Dam. Zayandehrood River is the second constant river and also the main resource of agricultural and drinking water of central region of Iran. Zayandehrood Lake Dam located at 37°۳۸’ N, 30°۵۲’ E, at an altitude of 2200 meters. The carp family is one of the most widespread families of fish in the world. In Iran, the carp family is represented by about 33 native genera and at least 73 species found in all the drainage basins.
Method & Materials: In summer 2007, 150 fish were collected from the middle and side and top (50 fish from every region) of the dam. Specimens were placed in plastic tanks with local lake water and immediately transferred to the research laboratory where they were kept in an aquarium within 24 hours and after saving the biometric information such as length, width, weight, age, quantity of lateral line scale, carps digestion system has been removed from the body and was examined for parasitic infection.
Results & Conclusion: Of 150 fish, 12 ( 8%) were infected with Caryophyllaeus fimbrieceps, four (2.66%) were infected with Rhabdochona railet. 50 fish collected in the dam side had no infection detected, but from the 50 pieces in the dam middle, 4 (8 %) were infected with Caryophyllaeus fimbrieceps and from the other four pieces nematod Rhabdochona railet were found. From the 50 fish from top side collected fish, 8 (16%) were infected with Caryophyllaeus fimbrieceps. With increasing the age of fish the quantity of infection with parasitic worms in digestion system increased.
