چکیده:

In this paper, kinetic of acetic acid synthesis in iridium-catalyzed methanol carbonylation process with the using methyl iodide and ruthenium as promoter in acid media has been studied. The reaction was carried out in liquid media in constant carbon monoxide pressure (29 bars) and temperature (190 O C). Considering available reactions in this process and the presence of ruthenium promoter as accelerator of rate-limiting step beside iridium-catalyzed cycle, kinetic of homogeneous reaction has been studied, and ruthenium as effective factor in reaction rate expression has been observed. Also, water concentration effect on reaction rate has been studied.
