چکیده:

In this paper, a Molecular Mechanics/Finite Element (MM/FE) multiscale modeling of CNT/polymer composites is presented. The nanotube is modeled at the atomistic scale using structural molecular mechanics. The matrix deformation is analyzed by the nonlinear finite element method considering viscoelastic behavior. The nanotube and polymer matrix are assumed to be bonded by van der Waals interactions based on Lennard-Jones potential at the interface. Using the MM/FE multiscale modeling, we investigate the effect of CNT on improvement of mechanical properties of the nanocomposite.
