چکیده:

Zeolites are alumina- silicate materials with properties to attract positive-charged ions and, therefore, are
widely used sequestration of cationic pollutants. Surface –modified zeolite materials have been developed
from commercial zeolites by treating them with surface modifiers like heaxdecyltrimetyl ammonium
bromide and tetra methyl ammonium bromide, cetyl pyridinium chloride, Dodecyl trimethyl ammonium
bromide and tetradecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride as tailoring agents. The adsorbent has been evaluated
for removal of chromate anion from industrial waste water and aqueous solutions. Obtained data from
chromate adsorption was shown that adsorption for modified zeolites A and Clinoptilolite using the
quarternary amine was more than of natural clinoptilolite.
