چکیده:

Cu nanorods 50 nm diameter were grown within polycarbonate membranes as templates by the electrodeposition technique. Copper nanorods with different lengths were dissolved in dichloromethane (CH2Cl2) to remove PCT membrane and solvent was replaced by methanol solutions. In this study the optical extinction were calculated on the base of Gans theory and comparing with the experimental data. The Gans theory predicts that for nanorods, when the dipole approximation holds, the surface plasmon mode would split into two distinct modes (transverse and longitudinal modes).
