Because of importance of ultrafine heteropolyacid particles in industry, and nanotechnology science and importance of nanocatalysts, for the first time in this research, heteropolyacid (H14 [NaP5W30O110] ) /SiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by a microemulsion technique.The morphology and size of these nanoparticles were characterized using, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scaning electron microscopy (SEM), and XRD. The present investigation illustrates the sizes and morphology of H14 [NaP5W30O110] /SiO2 nanoparticles, can be controlled by changing the water to sodium bis (2-ethylhexyl) sulfosuccinate as surfactant and reaction time. The particles of 8 nm diameter with spherical shapes were obtained at molar ratio = 3 and time = 12h. Various morphologies including nanotubes and nanowires were obtained by controlling the molar ratio and time during the synthesis. In a designed photoreactor by our research group, the photodegradation of methylorange as common azo dye pollutants in the environment was selected as a test reaction to estimate the catalytic activity of synthesized nanoparticles. Our findings showed that, the catalytic activity of nanoparticles is very excellent.
