چکیده:

Reactions of PdCl2 with the new title ylides, {(C6H5)3PCHCOC4H3S)} (TPPY) (1) and {(C6H5)3PCHCOC10H7} (NPPY) (2), in equimolar ratios, using acetonitrile as solvent at the reflux temperature gives the dinuclear orthometallated [Pd{C6H4-2-PPh2C(H)COC4H3S}(μ- Cl)]2 (3) and [Pd{C6H4-2-PPh2C(H)COC10H7}(μ-Cl)]2 (4) along with the phosphonium salts [Ph3PCH2COC4H3S]Cl and [Ph3PCH2COC10H7]Cl. These complexes reacts with PPh3 or P(P.Tolyl)3 in 1:2 molar ratio in dichloromethane to give the products of bridge-splitting [Pd{C6H4-2-PPh2C(H)COC4H3S}Cl(L)] (L= PPh3 (5) or P(P.Tolyl)3 (6)) and [Pd{C6H4-2-PPh2C(H)COC10H7}Cl(L)] (L=PPh3 (7)). IR absorption bands observed for C=O stretching in these complexes indicate coordination of the ylides through carbon. The 1H NMR spectra as well as 31P{1H}NMR suggests phosphorus proton interaction. Considering all the moieties there are a lot of carbon atoms in the molecule reflected by the 13C NMR spectrum. Melting point together with microanalysis data of the products was obtained
