چکیده:

The compound [Bi(2)W(18)U(2)O70(H(2)O)(2)]14- uranium(VI) (I) has been synthesized by reacting of A-α-[BiW(9)O(33)]9- with UO(2)(2+) and investigated by elemental analyses, IR and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The X-ray single-crystal analysis was carried out on Na(14)[Bi(2)W(18)U(2)O(70)(H(2)O)(2)].35H(2)O (1) which crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group P n a 2 1 with a = 33.8454(19) Å, b = 21.1484(12) Å, c = 13.2403(7) Å, α = ۹۰°, β = ۹۰°, γ = ۹۰° and Z = 4. The polyanion consists of two lacunary A-α-[BiW(9)O(33)](9-) groups which are sandwiched by only two uranyl cations. The uranium atoms adopt pentagonal-bipyramidal coordination, by terminal oxygen O(d) of an edgeshared pair of WO(6) octahedral to each BiW(9)O(33) unit and one external water ligand.
