چکیده:

A novel mononuclear Zinc(l1) complex, [Zn(tppz)Cl2], where tppz – 2,3.5,6-tetra(2- pyridy1)pyrazine has been synthesized and fully characterized by spectroscopic techniques. The crystal structure of [Zn(tppz)Clz] has been determined by single crystal diffraction method. The light yellow crystals of the desired complex were grown by ether-diffusion of aqueous solution of the complex. The complex has a triclinic crystal system (2-4) and space group of P1 with cell dimension: a- 12.8967(18)& b=14.794(2)A, c=16.794(2)A. a=75.186(11)’. b=79.553(1 I)’, and y 79.553(1 I)’. The structure was refined by using 8623 independent reflections with final R factor of 0.0697. ORTEP of the complex shows the geometrq about the
Zn(1 I ) is distorted trigonal bipyram idal.
