چکیده:

The electrocatalytic oxidation of deferiprone as an orally iron chelators was studied on a carbon paste electrode modified with nanoparticles of Fe2o3 core-NaCo[Fe(CN)6] shell (n-Fe2O3@NaCo[Fe(CN)6]) using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry. Voltammetric studies represented two quasi-reversible redox transitions of Co(II)/Co(III) at lower potentials and Fe(II)/Fe(III) at higher potentials for n-Fe2o3 @ NaCo[Fe(CN)6]. In the presence of deferiprone, both anodic peak currents increased, followed by decrease in the corresponding cathodic currents.
These results indicate that this drug was oxidized on n-Fe2O3@NaCo[Fe(CN )6 which was immobilized in the carbon paste electrode via an electrocatalytic mechanism. The catalytic rate constants, the electron transfer coefficients and the diffusion coefficients involved in the electrocatalytic oxidation of the drug was reported.A sensitive and time-A sensitive and time determination procedure was developed for the analysis of the drug in both bath and flow systems, and the corresponding analytical parameters were reported.
