Silver nanotechnology has recently been in vogue due to their potential for multiple applications. Obtaining stable sols of silver in aqueous media, without using any surfactant, is indispensable for biomedical and optical applications. The present investigation illustrates the synthesis of stable silver nanoparticles (Ag Nps) having various morphologies by controlling the growth kinetics of the particles during the synthesis. We further studied the effects of such morphologies in the SERS and antibacterial applications.
