چکیده:

In this research, the effect of different additives on manufacturing of alumina – zirconia nanocomposites were investigated. The composites were produced from alumina and yittria stabilized zirconia nano powders by sinter forging method. Average particle size of primary alumina and zirconia powder were about 10 and 50 nm, respectively. The hard and soft agglomerates in primary powders were removed by ball milling. In order to prevent reagglomerating, different additives (PCAs) such as urea, ethanolamine, Anthraquinone, and glucose were used and their effects on green density were investigated. The effects of additives on microstructure and relative density of sintered samples were investigated too. The results show that 1000 ppm urea increased green density and improved microstructure, density, and hardness of sinter forged samples in comparison with other additives
