چکیده:

The Iron oxide-silica and Iron oxide-titania nanocomposites have been extensively studied in the last few years due to potential applications in magnetic technology, photocatalysis, sensors and optics. In this article, we use Sol-Gel method to prepare Fe2O3-SiO2 and Fe2O3-TiO2 nanocomposites from metal alkoxide precursors in presence of acid–base catalysts. The Sol-Gel method is very useful for the preparation of these nanocomposites. By this method, various phases of Fe2O3 nanoparticles can be obtained. The as-synthesized products were heat treated in different temperatures (300ºC-700ºC) in order to transform the amorphous phase into a crystalline phase and also evaluation of heat treatment effect on nanostructure, and then characterized by XRD, SEM and TEM. Results show that structural properties, size and morphology of iron oxide phase depends on employed precursors, gelation process and thermal treatment conditions. In fact, factors like polymerization process of ferric ions that maybe occur in the pore of matrix and time and temperature of heat treatment have important role to form particles with various grain size, and morphology
