چکیده:

Using organoclay to enhance the performance of polymeric matrices is a new way which causes significant improvement in nanocomposite properties without imposing extensive cost. In order to study the effect of organoclay on curing characteristics of nanocomposites, four compounds with 0, 3, 5 and 7wt. % of organoclay were prepared. XRD analysis, rheometry and cross-link density measurement were performed on the samples. The results show exfoliated morphology in nanocomposite of 3 wt. % organoclay and intercalated one for samples containing 5 and 7 wt. % of organoclay. The curing characteristics showed adding only 3 wt. % of organoclay decreases curing time by more than 30% which is important in saving energy and time.
