چکیده:

The focus of this paper is to determine the effects of the vertical ground motion on stochastic dynamic responses of dam-reservoir interactionystems using the Lagrangian approach. The Sar?yar concrete gravity dam constructed in Turkey is selected for numerical example. Dam-reservoir interaction system subjected to vertical ground motion is modeled by using eight and nine noded two-dimensional solid and fluid finite elements. The displacements and stresses are calculated by using stochastic and deterministic dynamic analyses and compared with each other.
