چکیده:

An analysis based on the laws of thermodynamics has been used to establish the amount of net work, efficiency and the magnitude of the thermal energy available from the exhaust gases .of an intercooled gas turbine (ideal cycle) as a function of pressure ratio and temperature ratio of the cycle. As a result the energy recoverable from the exhaust gases to drive an absorption refrigeration unit have been calculated. The variation of efficiency and net work of the intercooled gas turbine as a ~on of cycle parameters are given and have been compared to conventional cycle. For a fixed cycle pressure ratio, the maximum temperature of intercooled cycle has been compared to conventional cycle and it has been concluded that the maximum temperature of intercooled cycle is lower than conventional cycle. Also for the same maximum temperature both cycles have been compared and it has been concluded that the intercooled cycle can work with higher cycle pressure ratio.
