This paper deals with the instability analysis of a composite cylindrical shell under torsional load, First, the governing equations of the shall areattained by using the fundamental theorem of calculus of variations. Then we reach to a nonlinear system of algebraic equations which is solved by iteration method. Finally, the instability torque value is obtained by the Budianski criterion.
