چکیده:

Business quality competition at national and global markets is becoming fiercer in all types of organization. As such, excellence becomes the norm required by a company to survive and grow in this competitive era of WTO. TQM is being claimed to be the marketable business quality philosophy that can help to achieve a competitive business position. Also, TQM implementers have claimed a positive impact on the corporate performance including satisfaction of all its stakeholders. All the concepts and principles of TQM philosophy are theoretical and conceptual knowledge based. These concepts and principles require transformation from theoretical nature into practical form which is only possible through development and use of different types of TQM tools and techniques, if softer aspects of management already exist. As such, these tools and techniques play a vital pivotal role in the realization of TQM philosophy. Without tools and techniques, these concepts would be of no use and
benefit to any professional, industrial and social life. Quality management, like any other profession, requires tools and techniques to enhance
manager’s capability to execute managerial functions more efficiently and effectively. However, the main problem which quality managers and practitioners are usually confronted with is not only the skill to use a few specific tools or techniques; rather it is the awareness on the complete range of such tools and techniques available in a group on a particular subject. The knowledge must also include the level of implementation difficulties and the impact of these tools and techniques created in the form of organizational changes and working environment.
