چکیده:

In this study diesel engine performance simulation is carried out with a zero-dimensional, feed forward model when major design parameters are varied. Quasisteady flow models of manifolds, cooler and ducting are coupled with a multi-cylinder reciprocator model, where each cylinder is assumed to undergo the same thermodynamic cycle. The master cylinder model describes intake, compression, expansion with combustion and exhaust processes in sufficient detail to define the mass and energy transfers in each subsystem of an engine.
