چکیده:

The electric and thermoelectric properties are investigated in a nanostructure composed of two nonmagnetic (NM) leads separated by a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) chain, theoretically. The calculations are based on the ladder model of DNA and Green’s function method within the nearest-neighbour approximation, which a single orbital is associated to each base of DNA. Also, in order to study transport properties, we calculate the electrical conductance and Seebeck coefficient as a function of Fermi energy level, numerically. Our results may be useful indesigning novel thermoelectric devices based on DNA as one of suitable organic molecules
