Crystalline titania thin films were obtained on various kinds of organic substrates such as mica and cellulose at 40-70 °C by deposition from aqueous solutions of ammonium hexafluorotitanate (NH4)2TiF6. Uniform coatings were successfully achieved on substrates with complex shapes such as cotton fibre. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images showed the information of morphological aspects of titania nanofibers. EDX analysis of the fibers shows highly pure titania. UV-Vis diffuse reflection shows the absorption peak of TiO2 at the wavelength of 380 nm. Finally the photocatalytic properties of TiO2 fibers have been studied.
