This paper presents a precise perspective for enhancing quality design in manufacturing. Total Quality Design (TQD) has been demonstrated, which is in consistence with quality evolution. Also, critically evaluation of worth and value has been addressed. Finally, Robust Design (RD) has been suggested to make products less sensitive to variation. The outcomes imply that for fully achieving the objectives of quality design, it is better to employ comprehensive methodologies such as TQD and define a mechanism for value analysis in design stages. The concept of RD should also be considered for counting variation in value analysis and TQD.
