Functionalisation of Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) is a key step for the integration of this new nanostructures into different systems which is believed to open the road towards real technological applications, among which biological applications appear to be particularly promising; Since the solubility and biocompatibility profile of these functionalized CNTs are the prerequisites for their manipulation into biological systems, specifically in drug delivery. For this purpose, in this study, we first report two functionalisation approaches which are widely employed for modification of CNTs: Aminofunctionalized and Carboxyl-functionalised nanotubes
