چکیده:

The applicability and usefulness of porous burners are of high interest due to their competitive combustion efficiency, high power dynamic range, compactness and lower pollutants formation. In this research two-dimensional numerical predictions of temperature profiles in a porous burner are presented. The burner under study is a two-stage burner with different porosities and thicknesses in each stage. The first stage is apreheating stage and the second one is the combustion stage. The geometrical model is 2-Dimensional .The continuity, momentum, energy and progress variable transport equations are solved employing a one-step kinetics mechanism and premixed combustion regime according toimont model. The R.T.E. equation is solved by radiation model. The centerline temperature and density of the gas mixture through the burner axis are presented .The pressure distribution of gas mixture through the two stages of porous zones of the burner are analyzed. The variations of Progress variable of chemical reactions and product formation rate through the x-axis are shown and analyzed.
