چکیده:

In this study the collection efficiency of supersonic impactors with different nozzle shapes has been studied for capturing the nano-particles. With accurate evaluation of all relevant forces on the particle motion collection efficiency and cut of size (50 % collection efficiency) of these impactors are evaluated numerically. It was found that for small L/D (distance of nozzle exit to impactor plate/nozzle diameter) cut of size of the impactor with a laval nozzle is decreased and smaller nano-particles can be separated.
